About Me

I realized that when I read blogs, one of the first things I do is check out the person’s “about me” page, because in addition to reading what they are writing, I want to know who they are.  Maybe I should do the same!  I’ve always felt a little strange writing about who I am, just because who I think I am, and how others perceive me are probably quite different.  But in my words…

I live just outside of Boston with my husband, brand new son (born October 13), and our miniature schnauzers Rufio and Gracie.   We love living here, and try to take advantage of everything this amazing city has to offer-from culture to restaurants, we’re always up for exploring our own home!

I’m just a girl who wants to get healthy, find my happy weight, develop a great relationship with food, and love my body for what it is, and what it can do for me.  This blog is about my quest to find balance between healthy eating, healthy exercising, healthy relationships, yummy food and my sanity as a stay at home mom to the cutest little boy on the planet.  I’ll also share some of my day to day adventures, fun finds and more than a few of my favorite things.  I’ve recently discovered, and fell in love with, Crossfit.  I share my daily workouts as a way to see how much I’ve grown in this sport and to document all of my hard work, ripped hands and all.

I love a lot of things.  My family, my husband, my son, my friends, my dog, a good book, a nice glass of wine, pretty shoes, Sting, the movie Zoolander, baseball, and lots of yummy food.

There’s a few things I don’t like too.  Clowns, feet, brussel sprouts (I admit it, roasted brussel sprouts rock!), tripe, scotch, veal, loud gum smacking, and general rudeness.
